Much better, and even though Fibula bridge is an iconic defense to run to when a battle goes sour, being accepting of change I see the path into the mountain pass that replaces the underground tunnel was also even widened. I see you got our point, thank you for understanding.

Shiva Shadowsong

Are those plants inside the gardens walkable? I hope not, if so, please remove blood herbs from spawning there. It would be a shame if such a beautiful and rare house decoration was ruined due to a respawn.

Shiva Shadowsong

Those weapons don't spawn on the floor, right? It looks very... unnatural. Awesome work on Beholder though, keep it up!

Another suggestion you could revamp as far as hunting ground/lore goes is Fibula dungeon. Each corridor could expand into it's own hunting area suitable for a few people to hunt. Fibula Rotworms can be hunted by a few low levels, or one mid level character, but the others are basically a clear one and done area.

Please check my proposal for revamping scarabs too. It requires so far only changes in loot, and exp/hp ratio.

Shiva Shadowsong.

Although I'd argue that all 1 sqm wide bridges should be changed to at least 2x, these are great changes compared to your previous thais edition. Medivia might have a bright future after all, thank you for listening to the community.

Shiva ShadowsongBut, you have an opportunity to be a part of that change. As a community, we can work together on evolving Medivia into something (a bit) different and better, and your feedback will be taken into consideration, as long as it's proper. Keep an open mind and stop clinging to the past. Dealing with change, not just in games but in life in general, is hard, but in this case the changes are inevitable, and we offer you to take part in making them, to shape this game into something different but still likable and appealing.

Bla bla bla. Why then, in the first place, didn't you or Iryont start this thread with "hey, friends, we will have to change many things because of legal issues that [some details here], I know you may not like it but maybe together we can achieve something nice, so let's discuss how it should look"? That would sound much better than trying to sell an airy-fairy fable about "making use of boring and unutilized places to make more interesting map". Don't you think?

Shiva Shadowsong
By comparison, you can see that some new paths have been made, existing ones broadened and there are even some secrets paths to be discovered. I also included a 3rd frame with the yellow arrow pointers to show that there are many alternative ways of reaching the Whiteflower Temple now, so you can be sneaky if trying to avoid getting caught on your trip for the blessing.

Still out of the style. 99% of mappers when mapping try to show their "skills" at its best, so instead of keeping the landscape clean and simple, they put as much stuff as possible for show off, thinking it's caring of the details, but in result it's only trashing the land. Don't do that too.
If you look at the whole map, forests and other stuff don't cover 90% of it, like in your work. The map needs what you call "boring areas" too.
I don't like the islandic thing either, it doesn't really fit here, and turning Fibula into a mainland part.
Here is a fast example how it could be done: still differs the original-current look much, but keeps more of the core and looks more 'stylish' and fitting imo.

(ofc it's not perfect, I did it in a few mins in paint just to show what I mean)

Shiva Shadowsong
Here are some more interesting teasers that I'll post for now:

Beholder is nice, but looks like a recolored version of beholder from you-know-where (besides those sharps). I ofc don't mind it. But hope they're not gonna put Iryont to jail for this...
As for village: I'm worried about blood herbs also. And why would one build a well in the middle of a pool? I don't get it.

Shiva Shadowsong
The Whiteflower Temple has been revamped to put more 'white' and more 'flower' in it.

Oriental djinn walls used in Thais-surrounding architecture? God, you see this and don't thunder? "White" or not, it's wrong.

Also, if I were to revamp all the map, I'd start from redrawing the map and replaning it. I mean making a sketch of the whole. Doing it part by part like this doesn't seem a good idea cause you may end up with a map looking like a mix of many parts cut from other maps, not fitting each other at all.

This looks more like a 7.4 "revamped southern thais" to me. I'm afraid the new one even after edited that is shown is just like Port Hope was made; no open area at all, just clutter. Those areas that are bland and open are needed in my opinion. Picture a group of 25 or 35 people trying to move through anywhere on the map with all those trees; nearly impossible to do in an organized manner.

I still can't wrap my head around how the lore is going to go revolving around the flooded continent directly south of Thais. Fibula is not changed, nor is Calcanea or whatever it's called. Literally just south of Thais was affected by the water levels changing. Sorry but can't buy it.

That's not what's bothering me the most (they may tell you to have fights elsewhere). The bland and open areas are needed for other reasons too. Technically, everything on the surface, outside cities, should be more or less open. Ofc there are swamps, there's Outlaw Camp too (less open), but that's just little parts. Most of the map is open and not flooded with trees and stuff.

Hey Shiva Shadowsong ! Welcome to the team !!!

I just wished to ask about the blood herb thing, is it going to be a daily spawn? or it "stuck" on ground?

It is really a nice decoration item, and it is quite rare. I would like it to remain rare.

good luck mapping this crowd is hard to please !! haha

just think the new map is a forest with many rivers

To answer some of your questions:

The blood herbs are there for decoration, in case we decide to leave the on the floor, they won't be pickupable, if not, the farms next to the houses will eventually be emptied so you can plant your own seeds and grow some veggies or fruits.

Same goes for the new items you can see in the rotworm image - I just placed them on the ground to show that there's some new stuff coming, they won't actually spawn on the ground but be dropped by the monsters.

And lastly, the Beholder you see in the image is supposed to be 'Wormlord', however, I won't share any details about the creature because it is very likely that it will be getting changed.

Ancienciqlooks better indeed :)

new beholder looks quite sick, just this horns not suit him 100% (colours [looks like added with glue])

i think most of us will accept this look of southern thais, however, what then ext thing on your list?

new village sounds cool, can you share some lore about how it was created? why? by who? who lives there atm? what is its existing purpose?

coming back to beholder like monster, same questions, where did it came from, is it connected with beholders, with hellgate, does it use 369, how far if so, blah bla blah

Wheat in the village looks weird tho, these parts that sticks to the walls, would u plant wheat on the grass, right outside your window? :)

I don't know what the next thing on the list is, as Iryont will reveal it only when this update is out (I think).
I guess he will reveal it once he feels ready for that.

The village, the shattered landmass, and the creatures you find in each place will be explained by the lore.

And hey, planting wheat next to your window is great! You can just open your window and cut some off to make cereal :'D
